The Miami Heat secured a massive win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday, and it is possible they could get a key player back in All-Star Bam Adebayo for a pivotal Game 4.

Adebayo said his injured neck is improving, and he hopes to get back on the floor as soon as possible. However, Adebayo also said he and the team's medical staff are trying to exhibit caution:

“I'm getting better. It's up to the medical staff,” Adebayo said, via Mark Medina of USA TODAY. “I'm trying to get back as quickly as possible. But they're just trying to make sure I'm safe and ready to play.”

Adebayo's status for Game 4 is unknown, per Medina. However, Miami has to be pleased with his progress.

The Heat had their backs against the wall entering Game 3. Lakers big man Anthony Davis had dominated the first two games of the series, and Miami seemed hard-pressed to find an answer without Adebayo on the floor.

However, an inspired Jimmy Butler helped lead the Heat to victory.

Butler had arguably the best game of his career, scoring 40 points to go along with 13 assists, 11 rebounds and a pair of steals. Miami's frontcourt also got a huge lift from Kelly Olynyk, who scored 17 points and added seven rebounds off the bench.

The Heat also doubled down on Davis and forced him to give up the ball. The Brow had just nine field goal attempts, and the Lakers simply could not get enough from the likes of Danny Green and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. LeBron James also turned the ball over eight times.

Miami's Game 3 victory could be a turning point, especially if Adebayo is cleared to return for Game 4. Heat fans will wait with bated breath to see how Adebayo feels on Tuesday.
