Ever since confirming his return, the Miami Heat's star shooting guard Dwayne Wade might be subtly pulling some strings for Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star wingman Jimmy Butler. Going for his final rodeo, Wade may want some All-star power beside him to go out with guns blazing this season.

According to a tweet from Will Manso of Fox Sports, Wade just posted a throwback photo of him with his Marquette days. He cryptically tagged Jimmy Butler on the tweet of the photo.

For those who do not know, Wade and Jimmy Butler have a special connection due to being Marquette University alumni. With headlines about Butler trades and his preferred destinations, only a fellow former Golden Eagle can be bold enough to pull a clever recruitment like this.

Although nothing is concretely confirmed yet, it may just be the three-time NBA champion reminiscing the good old college days with a fellow alum. Being sentimental in this phase of his career is not too far off for the 12-time All-star, but everything just seems so coincidental especially with the Butler situation going about.

If it is an under-the-radar recruitment scheme from Heat president Pat Riley and company, you can count on something big brewing in South Beach.

Last season, Jimmy Butler averaged 22.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game for the Timberwolves. His production will be a welcome addition to a Heat team that clearly lacks star power.

Moreover, despite reaching the playoffs, there were reports about Butler being unhappy by the work ethic of the younger Timberwolves. With everything that is going on surrounding him, it will be inevitable to see him with a new team possibly sooner than later.
