During their fun IG live chat, Miami Heat legends Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem talked about the new star in Miami, Jimmy Butler.

Wade, who played with Butler for one season on the Chicago Bulls back in 2016-17, told Haslem that he tried to warn everyone about how “crazy” Butler really is:

Butler fits the Heat to a T. He doesn't apologize for who he is and plays with a toughness and swagger which Miami president Pat Riley loves.

In his first season with the Heat, Butler has been stellar on both ends of the floor. The five-time All-Star appeared in 54 games for Miami before the 2019-20 season was suspended due to COVID-19. He was averaging 20.2 points, 6.6 rebounds and 6.1 assists.

Riley has found his new franchise player in the post-Wade era. The Heat missed the playoffs last season, but they were on their way to making it in 2019-20 prior to play getting suspended.

Butler has finally found his home after bouncing around from team to team. He started off his career with the Bulls and has since played for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Philadelphia 76ers and Heat.

Jimmy told Portland Trail Blazers star Carmelo Anthony last week he's been working out, drinking wine and hanging out with his daughter during the NBA hiatus. Luckily for Butler, he lives in beautiful Miami.
