On Wednesday night, the Miami Heat took on the Memphis Grizzlies. It was a close game throughout that ended in spectacular fashion. Ja Morant came up in the clutch, taking it all the way down court for a layup over Jimmy Butler to give the Grizzlies a two-point lead with just over one second left on the clock.

Onions:

The Grizzlies' 89-85 victory snapped the Heat's five-game winning streak. However unhappy Butler was at the end of the game, he put all of the blame on his shoulders for the loss despite playing at a high level once again, per the Miami Herald. This something the best leaders in sports do all the time, even when a loss isn't their fault.

Butler has emerged as one of the best players in the league and isn't afraid to take accountability:

“I got to do my job. I'll take that,” Butler said. “That’s OK. I'll be better the next time in that situation, that position to get a stop. That's what I'm here to do. I did not do that. I'll shoulder it.”

The Heat were in their fifth game in a seven-day span, so fatigue may have been a factor down the stretch against Memphis. Miami is in the middle of the pack for a playoff spot, currently ranking fourth in the Eastern Conference with a 22-19 record.

The Heat will receive a well-deserved break on Thursday but will be back to it against the Indiana Pacers on Friday. Look for Jimmy Butler to get his mindset right again and potentially lead his team to victory against a struggling Pacers team.
