With just a few more games remaining in the regular season, the Miami Heat are still fighting for positioning in the East. They've already secured a playoff berth, but at this point, they still have a shot at clinching the fourth spot in the conference. As it turns out, however, Jimmy Butler could not care less.

When asked about how important securing the fourth seed is to the Heat right now, Butler did not seem to be too worried (h/t NBA on TNT on Twitter):

“I like our chances against anybody honestly,” Butler said. “Nobody intimidates us.”

Butler is never short in confidence and it is clear from his statement here that he and the rest of the Heat are willing to take on anybody in the first round. As it is, Miami is in the fifth spot, and if the playoffs started today, they would be facing the fourth-placed Atlanta Hawks in the opening round.

It is also worth noting that Butler came out with this bold statement shortly after taking down the best team in the Eastern Conference in the Philadelphia 76ers.

As Jimmy said, the Heat aren't intimidated by anybody. This goes beyond the first round, too. We all know what happened last season when we all pretty much underestimated Miami. They proved us all wrong as they went all the way to the NBA Finals. Butler and Co. are hoping for a repeat this season, and perhaps they take it a step further this time around.
