There have been a lot of doubt thrown at the Miami Heat as of late, and team captain Udonis Haslem isn't taking it lightly.

The 2020 Eastern Conference champs had one of the most amazing playoff runs in recent NBA history and were even two wins away from winning it all in Orlando against the eventual champs, the Los Angeles Lakers. Though the Heat were clearly one of the more impressive squads inside the Disney Campus, naysayers have been claiming that Miami's success in the 2019-20 season was a mere fluke.

UD, however, isn't having it.

The three-time NBA champion took to his Instagram stories to call out the slander being thrown at his Heat squad. Haslem shared a post indicating that there have been talks saying Miami climbing all the way to the 2020 NBA Finals was a lucky break.

“Just in case they missed it. Don't worry, these dogs stay hungry. F– they thought…” Haslem wrote.

After witnessing what Haslem and the Heat pulled off inside the bubble, it's going to be quite hard to throw some shade towards their success. Though Miami started out with a 3-5 record in the seeding games after the season restart, they quickly regrouped and bounced back strong come playoff time.

Through Jimmy Butler and the rest of the gritty Heat squad, they easily took care of business against the Indiana Pacers in the first round in a four-game sweep. Also, they only needed five games to eliminate reigning back-to-back MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks.

In the ECF, they dropped just two games against the Boston Celtics before making their way to an NBA Finals berth against the Lakers. Even though LA won it all in six games, the Heat still managed to put up a fight even with key players missing a ton of playing time due to injuries.

Udonis Haslem will be returning for his 18th year in Miami and is looking to prove that this Heat unit is indeed a force to be reckoned with. With Butler and the rest of the starters all prepared to run it back this season, look for the South Beach franchise to continue where they left off once the 2020-2021 season begins.
