Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star big man Karl-Anthony Tows had the honor of exchanging jerseys with Maimi Heat legend Dwyane Wade as their two teams met up on Friday night.

It was an absolute honor for Towns, as this was one of the last few stops of the Dwyane Wade farewell tour. Towns heads home with a priceless piece of basketball history that he will surely cherish.

The cherry on top of the cake for Towns and the Timberwolves was the fact that they were able to come away with the victory against Wade and company. Minnesota recorded a 111-109 victory after a hard-fought encounter, and Towns himself had his say in the matchup.

The 23-year-old accounted for 13 points (on 5-of-10 shooting), one three-pointer, 12 rebounds, four assists, and a steal. He did, however, commit 11 turnovers, for which the stingy Heat defense will need to take most of the credit for.

For his part, Wade had another vintage performance in this one, logging a game-high 24 points on 8-of-16 shooting, along with one three-pointer, three rebounds, three assists, and a steal in 29 minutes off the Miami bench. The three-time NBA champion did everything in his power to try and guide his team to victory, but he would ultimately fall short.

This was a tough loss for the Heat, who remain one game outside the playoffs picture in the East.

Their hopes of making it to the postseason are now no longer in their hands, as they could still end up missing out even if they win all three of their remaining regular season matchups.
