For the past generations, Pokemon's developer Game Freak, included an evolving system through trading Pokemons. Pokemon fans would buy an additional cable before just to get their Kadabras to Alakazams and their Haunters into Gengars. Trade Evolutions are only possible when two players trade each other Pokemon. This phenomenon then evolves the Pokemon to its final form immediately after trading to the other person. You can trade it back afterwards to still keep your Pokemon. The system evolved eventually to just needing wifi for easier access of trading and making global trading even possible. Now, with their newly released Pokemon game entitled Pokemon Legends Arceus, they are now introducing an easier way to complete your Pokedex.
Pokemon's Hisui region has aqcuired a new way of getting those evolutions without even trading with other people. There is a possibility of you straight forward catching them in various areas but there's also an easier way to do it with their pre-evolution. You do not have to rely on your friends or even other players to complete your Pokedex. All you have to do is to acquire the items necessary and simply pointing and clicking it to your Pokemon. This guide will tell you where to get those specific items as well as the list of Pokemon you can evolve with this method.
The easiest way to get each specific trade evolutions without trading in Pokemon Legends Arceus is to do the following:
- Go to the Trading Post and talk to the NPC named “Simona”. She is located at Jubilife Village, just up north on the map, past the Galaxy Building.
- Talk to her and select “I want items” given by the list of actions and you will see all evolution items for each Pokemon.
- In order to buy these, you need to have Merit Points from gathering across Hisui region alongside the Lost & Found feature.
- When purchased, all you have to do is use it to the Pokemon who needs it, and will will automatically evolve to its final form.
Each Pokemon varies on what special item they need in order to trigger the evolution. You just need to use the item on them for them to automatically evolve. Here is a list for all the items needed for each Pokemon:
Kadabra – Linking Cable ⇒ Alakazam
Haunter – Linking Cable ⇒ Gengar
Graveler – Linking Cable ⇒ Golem
Machoke – Linking Cable ⇒ Machamp
Dusclops – Reapers Cloth ⇒ Dusknoir
Electabuzz – Electirizer ⇒ Electivire
Magmar – Magmarizer ⇒ Magmortar
Porygon – Upgrade ⇒ Porygon 2
Porygon – Dubious Disc ⇒ Porygon Z
Rhydon – Protector ⇒ Rhyperior
Scyther – Metal Coat ⇒ Scizor
There are other ways to get these specific items in Pokemon Legends Arceus. Most of the items are found in the Trading Post in Jubilife however finding them for free in the wild or purchasing them using money currency is also possible. Some of these are found in Space-Time distortions lying on the ground inside. you can also buy them with in-game currency from the Ginko Guild Cart, which changes items everyday, so it's only luck based if you get the item you need.
Although this may be taxing and probably needs a lot of time to gather, you can now fully fill up your Pokedex by yourself. This is another feat you can brag on your friends by completing the Dex without any help. There's still a lot of Pokemon evolutions different in Hisui region from the past generations.
