One of the most overlooked aspects of the Golden State Warriors‘ championship run is the depth and support of their bench. Starting the season seemingly top heavy due to signing Kevin Durant managed to balance out very well. The bench averaged 32.8 points per game at a whopping 52.5 percent from the field. What was initially perceived as a possible weakness was a strength throughout the season.

One player who led the charge from the pine was guard Ian Clark. Clark played a major role this season for the Warriors and has quietly become a free agent teams will look to sign amidst the Warriors trying to keep their core together.

According to Shams Charania of The Vertical, Clark is “expected to garner strong interest” this summer from other teams. It's not all brand new to him as he had short stints in the D-League as well as for the Jazz and Nuggets prior to landing in the Bay Area.

The Warriors' payroll sits under the cap currently, but is expected to skyrocket after the impending signing of Stephen Curry to his first huge deal as well as re-signing Durant and others.

If there is an offer for Clark in the $6-8 million range that he expects the Warriors to match, then the possibility of him, who averaged a career-high 6.8 points per game this season, playing in a new home come the start of next season is high.
