If there is one area that the Jacksonville Jaguars desperately need to address next season, it is the quarterback position. Now, with newly appointed offensive coordinator John DeFilippo with the team, he may be recruiting a familiar face to join forces once more.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles likely spent his last season with the team and he is still playing at a very high level. The Jaguars need a new quarterback considering Blake Bortles has simply not performed up to expectations since joining the league a handful of years ago. DeFilippo was the Eagles' quarterbacks coach with the Eagles during their Super Bowl victory last season, so DeFilippo likely has a solid bond with Foles.

Hays Carlyon of Jax Sports Radio touched on the situation and sees the reunion between Foles and DeFilippo as an increasingly high possibility.

“Foles is expected to be available this off-season. DeFilippo’s presence with the Jaguars strengthens the possibility of Jaguars personnel chief Tom Coughlin making an aggressive play for Foles to replace starter Blake Bortles.”

DeFilippo is a true quarterback guru and has turned around a lot of players at the position into more complete players, allowing them to play at their full potential. Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins had his best completion percentage (70.1) and passing touchdown total (30) with DeFilippo acting as the team's offensive coordinator for most of the season.

DeFilippo could very do the same with Jacksonville's next quarterback, but a reunion with Foles could be exceptional for both parties involved.
