Like every other NFL team, the Jacksonville Jaguars and head coach Doug Marrone are adjusting to this year's virtual offseason. However, Marrone appears to think pretty highly of both his player and the ongoing experiences that he is having with his team through these unprecedented times.

Even though everything is being done on a virtual basis at the moment, Marrone has been impressed with his rookie class as the Jaguars head coach previously gave such players the task of making a good first impression despite the unusual circumstances.

“I said, ‘I don't know what these first impressions are going to look like, but I want to make sure you understand we're still looking at how in this virtual setting will you be able to impress us beyond what we're asking you to do.' You see certain things like if a meeting starts at a certain time, most of those guys are logged in 15 minutes early,” Marrone recently said, via the team's official website.

“Most of those guys are prepared. They have questions ready. I've been impressed.”

Unfortunately for the Jaguars and the team's fan base alike, Jacksonville is not expected to compete at a very high level this time around. With the Tennessee Titans, Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts all gearing up for what could ultimately become successful campaigns in 2020-21, the Jaguars remain in full-on rebuild mode. However, it is also worth noting that despite playing in a very competitive and tough division, the Jaguars are still just a few seasons removed from an appearance in the AFC Championship Game.
