It's difficult to blame Minshew for taking desperate tactics. It's hard enough that he doesn't have his starting job for the time being. But it's certainly tougher not to see the field at all. Jaguars rookie Jake Luton saw three starts in Minshew's absence, while Mike Glennon has started their past two contests and will continue to do so.
Nonetheless, Minshew will do what's best for the Jaguars:
Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone admitted that Minshew hasn't looked particularly good in practice, and that is the main reason why he hasn't fielded the Washington State standout back in the lineup. Marrone added that Glennon has been doing better with his throws in practice. Until the coach sees improvement from Minshew, it seems like there will be no changes for the Jaguars at quarterback in the near future.
