As we near the end of the 2021 NFL season, it's safe to say that the Jacksonville Jaguars have been a huge disappointment under the head coaching of Urban Meyer. It's not that the Jags carried high expectations heading into the season, but the Shad Khan-owned franchise has barely been better than its version the year before when Jacksonville finished 1-15.

Speaking of Khan, the Jaguars owner said on Monday that he will take time before making a decision on the fate of Meyer in Jacksonville, per Michael DiRocco of ESPN:

“I want to do the right thing for the team. I want to do the right thing for the city,” Khan said. “That, to me, is way more important than just acting helter-skelter on emotion. I think we have a history of really looking at the facts and then really doing the right thing.

The Jaguars aren't just piling up losses. They are also reportedly having off-the-field issues like disagreements between Meyer and his players and the head coach belittling his assistants. That's not to mention the salacious videos and photos that went viral back in October that did not at all reflect well on Meyer.

Winning can sometimes cure everything, but that's not anywhere close to the reality that the Jaguars are dealing with this season. Nevertheless, Meyer's job security has to be in question right now, and he has four games left to try and add to Jacksonville's paltry total of two wins.
