Golden State Warriors reserve forward James Michael McAdoo received some rare playing time on Tuesday during his team's game against the Houston Rockets. However, it did not last long as he suffered a blow to the head.

With 1:06 left in the first quarter, Trevor Ariza‘s leg got tangled with the 6-foot-9 forward's arm while he was on the floor, causing him to fall on McAdoo and hitting his head. He laid on the floor for a few minutes after and stood up bloodied and seemed dazed.

McAdoo was immediately brought to their locker room where the gash was stitched up by team doctors. He is also scheduled to be evaluated for a concussion.

Now in his third year in the league, the 24-year-old North Carolina product has been a fixture on the team's bench and is only averaging 2.9 points and 1.7 rebounds in 8.7 minutes per game. However, with Kevin Durant still sidelined, McAdoo has been seeing a few extra minutes of playing time.

Tuesday's matchup is a highly anticipated one as both teams are considered favorites to win the Western Conference this year. The Dubs are once again on a winning streak and have won seven straight, while the Rockets are winners of four consecutive games.
