UFC news: Jeff Molina gets brutally honest about fan backlash

Jeff Molina recently when made waves when he opted to wear a Pride fight kit at UFC Vegas 56 in order to support the LGBT community. The move was simply meant to be a ‘decent human being’ but the internet was not having it.

Jeff Molina received a lot of abuse from fans after announcing he would be wearing the Pride fight kit. He took to the UFC Vegas 56 post-fight press conference to talk about the negative reactions he received.

“I was honestly shocked. So I picked the colors because I thought it looked cool and then also it supports a good cause, you know,” the UFC flyweight said (MMAJunkie). But I will support anything of a community that’s been oppressed and ostracized for some time now for something they can’t help. I’ll get behind any of that.”

“I just thought in 2022 people will be a little more like open-minded and not pieces of shit. But, I guess I was wrong. It’s just crazy to me. Like, people were saying some, like crazy shit.”

“Dude, it’s fucking ridiculous. Man, who would have thunk that in 2022 people are still, who the fuck cares, bro? Like honestly, it’s not even about being an ally. I’m not saying I’m not, but it’s like just be a fucking decent person. Like just be a decent human being.”
