The New York Jets have made some solid moves this offseason on the offensive side of the ball. With the league's deepest pockets and a desire to improve from last season, they have been linked to nearly every big-name free agent.

The Jets are still looking for pieces to help fortify their offense for the 2018 season. As a result, they are scheduled to meet with former Seattle Seahawks running back Thomas Rawls, per Bryan Costello of the New York Post:

Free agent RB Thomas Rawls is visiting the Jets tomorrow, per source

It goes without saying that Rawls has fallen mightily from the player he was during his rookie year in Seattle. Although he largely served in a complementary role behind running back Marshawn Lynch, he managed to register 830 yards and four touchdowns.

Rawls was poised to become Seattle's primary workhorse following Lynch's departure. However, a broken fibula largely held him back from officially maintaining that role. Needless to say, he has been unable to get back on track after the Seahawks took a tremendous step back in 2017.

Rawls was among the notable departures from Seattle's overhaul this offseason. However, this may have been the best move for the former undrafted free agent. The Jets have no definitive option currently in the backfield; however, they do possess some solid depth with running backs Bilal Powell and Isaiah Crowell. This could be a good opportunity for Rawls to prove once again why he was one of the more promising young backs in the league at one point.
