After Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban wildly accused Texas A&M of “buying every player” in its No. 1 ranked recruiting class, Aggies coach Jimbo Fisher fired back in a press conference on Thursday. Fisher didn't hold back one bit, unloading on Saban and blasting him for his “despicable” comments. Fisher vehemently denied that Texas A&M had purchased its recruiting class, before expressing his disappointment at the nature of Saban's comments.

Fisher wasted no time diving into his diatribe against Saban. As soon as he reached the podium, the room went quiet and he began eviscerating the Alabama head coach.

“We never bought anybody. No rules were broken, nothing was done wrong… It's despicable, that a reputable head coach can come out and say this when he doesn't get away,” Fisher said of Saban. “It's a shame that you gotta sit here and defend 17-year-old kids and families, because we do things right. And we always do things right.”

Fisher went on to discuss the lack of parity in college football, effectively suggesting that Saban was the main culprit for that. He didn't hold back an ounce when ripping into Saban, even admitting that the Bama coach tried to reach him for a phone call, which Fisher said he ignored before claiming he and Saban were “done.”

When asked about his relationship with his former mentor, Fisher took another shot at the Bama head coach, saying that he learned “how not to do things” while working under Saban.

While these two were once close comrades working alongside each other, it seems Saban's latest comments have crossed the line from Fisher's perspective. The Texas A&M-Bama rivalry is heating up fast and when the two teams square off in October, it should be a fiery affair.
