Philadelphia 76ers fans can finally look forward to a bright future. The “Process” started by former GM Sam Hinkie is seemingly coming to a close, as the 76ers have assembled a fantastic young core.

That nucleus was strengthened with first pick Markelle Fultz, who joins forwards Ben Simmons and Dario Saric, as well as center Joel Embiid.

Injuries might be an issue for the Sixers, but if they avoid ones like Embiid and Simmons had in the past, they might be title contenders sooner than everyone expected. Of course, management will need to surround them with proper talent, but GM Bryan Colangelo will, per all reports, try to be active on the free agent market.

The “big four” seems to be clicking chemistry-wise off the court, with Embiid constantly posting about his teammates on social media.

After Simmons and Embiid targeted Lakers guard Lonzo Ball on Twitter, Embiid published a tweet announcing a new nickname for the Sixers' future stars:

Clearly going with the law enforcement analogy, some 76ers fans pieced together the names of the young fellas to form “FEDS”, which Embiid immediately embraced and “coined” as a new nickname. Of course, Embiid will probably stick to calling himself “The Process”, but as a team, “FEDS” will be seen more and more on social media as next season approaches.

Off-court affairs aside, the Sixers assembled a fantastic young core that should be ready to contend when the Warriors' domination starts to fade (although that might be awhile).

While the playoffs are a good short-term goal, Philadelphia will probably open their championship window, barring any surprising trades or unfortunate injures, sometime in the near future.
