Luke Walton has said time and again that he will build relationships with every one of his players if the Lakers are to achieve their goal.
It’s a major change from the rule of Byron Scott last season, and it seems that a new culture is what this young team needed.
So far, his players have seemed to respond to their new coach and Walton has given praise on those whose offseason work he has witnessed. One of them is guard Jordan Clarkson whom Walton raved about for his commitment to improving his defense.
The player and coach have definitely built a good working relationship, and the recent tripping of the former on the latter is a testament to it. Here are Clarkson’s tweets about his new coach paying five-on-five with them.
yo who coach killing, he out there getting locked up no buckets for him lol https://t.co/siqzgig2xx

Just by seeing this type of interaction within the team, the Los Angeles Lakers appear to be on the right track, and happily going about with it at the same time.
