In two seasons in the NBA so far, Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns has established himself as one of the best young players in the league. His rare combination of size and ability to score in different ways has made him the unanimous Rookie of the Year, as well as a nightmare matchup for opposing coaches.

Even with his already impressive skill set, the 21-year-old Kentucky product is still looking to improve his craft and admitted, via Jerry Zgoda of the Star Tribune, that he plans to add some “secretive stuff” to his game to be even better.

“I’ve got some things I’ve been looking at and I want to do. It’s going to be really cool to show it off.”

“Always secretive stuff. Nobody knew I had the one-legged fadeaway until I pulled it out. I always have something in my toolbox waiting to come out.”

It’s definitely going to be bad news for the rest of the competition if Towns will be able to master a few more skills, which will make him a more dominant player in the future. Despite being a very young team, The Wolves have showed a lot of improvement this past season and are geared to build on their first campaign under head coach Tom Thibodeau.

Towns is expected to continue being relied upon heavily by his teammates to anchor their offense and give them a strong inside presence. With Zach LaVine coming back from injury, the team is going to be at full strength for the start of next season. Together with Andrew Wiggins and Ricky Rubio, the Timberwolves will look to become a playoff team, and surprise many with their performance next year, including Towns and his bag of tricks.
