New York Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau raved about the seemingly perfect combination of Kemba Walker and Evan Fournier.

The Knicks have done quite a job in bringing in reinforcements this past offseason. The team is pleased with the arrival of Kemba Walker and after just 12 games, coach Tom Thibodeau already found a backcourt threat in Evan Fournier and the All-Star guard.

Speaking ahead of the Knicks' home game against the Milwaukee Bucks, Thibodeau spoke highly of the “overall” attributes of Fournier. However, he is also certain there's still “room” for improvement.

“To me, he’s a veteran that provides shooting and the ability to go off the dribble. It’s how he complements those guys, how he complements Kemba [Walker], how it all works together,” Thibodeau said of Fournier via The New York Post. “As time goes on, he’ll get more and more comfortable. Overall, very pleased with him, and obviously there’s still room for him to expand what he’s doing.”

“I think that he and Kemba have added the right shot profile to what we’re trying to get accomplished,” he added. “We still have room to grow in that area. Understanding how we get to those shots is important.”

Fournier's best asset so far is his three-point shooting and he has let the Knicks know about it during his debut when he nailed six three-pointers. For coach Thibs, this is one thing New York can rely on this season.

“I just like his playmaking, I like the shooting,” the coach admitted. “One of the things when you go back, we had to close the gap in the 3-point shooting. That was a big thing for us. Two years ago, we were so far behind in that.”
