New York Knicks president of basketball operations Leon Rose has a message for the New York faithful.

During an interview with MSG's Mike Breen, Rose revealed his “pledge” for Knicks fans.

“No one deserves a winner more than Knicks fans,” Leon Rose said, via Steve Popper of Newsday.

“I know it’s been tough. But my pledge is that we are going to work tirelessly. We are going to do business. We are going to be prudent. We are going to be creative. And we are going to be in play in every aspect of the draft, trades and free agency. And we are going to build this the right way to build you a winner.”

It has indeed been a tough few years for the Knicks. The franchise has not only become a walking disaster on the basketball court, but owner James Dolan's recent actions toward Spike Lee and Charles Oakley have put the organization in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

There's also the fact that the Knicks traded All-Star power forward Kristaps Porzingis to the Dallas Mavericks in 2018-19 in order to create cap space for the summer of 2019. However, New York didn't get any superstar player in free agency and had to watch Porzingis play like a star for the Mavs in 2019-20 before games were suspended.

The Knicks are praying that Rose's connections in the league can help the franchise become a winner again. Rose used to run the CAA agency, which represents some of the best basketball players in the NBA.

Because Rose used to represent them, Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony are two players the Knicks could go after whenever the 2020 offseason period begins.
