The San Francisco 49ers blew a fourth quarter lead on Sunday, but Kyle Shanahan voiced that he still has complete confidence in Robert Saleh. Shanahan serves as the offensive coordinator and head coach for the 49ers', so he has plenty of responsibilities to worry about. However, people where curious about if he had say-so when it came to the defensive calls in the closing minutes. Shanahan refused to intrude on Saleh's responsibilities. He extended a vote of confidence to his defensive coordinator.

“I could have say but I’m not going to just hop into it a defense and start calling plays. That’s on Saleh. Saleh’s very good at what he does. I have a ton of confidence in him and a ton of confidence in our scheme,” Shanahan told The Mercury News.

Robert Saleh may know defense, but it doesn't see like he's doing a very good job showing that this season. The 29ers have the 29th ranked defense in the NFL. When you're giving up 29.8 points per game, it's hard to beat anyone, even if your quarterback plays a nearly perfect game like C.J. Beathard did. Kyle Shanahan will need more help from the other side of the ball to have some success.

The 49ers have been plagued by injuries this year. Their receiving corps struggled to stay on the field before Jimmy Garoppolo tore his ACL. They Also lost their top running back Jerrick McKinnon to an ACL tear.

The 1-5 49ers couldn't stop the late game surge of Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay packers, and it won't get any easier against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 7.
