The tributes keep pouring on Sunday for Los Angeles Lakers icon Kobe Bryant, who tragically passed away after figuring in a helicopter crash near Calabasas, California.

Danny Green, who currently plays the same position Bryant held with the Lakers for 20 NBA seasons, shared a photo of himself and Bryant when the latter came to watch one of their games at Staples Center last November. The 32-year-old swingman touched upon Bryant's impact on the world and how grateful he was to share the court with him.

“This season will be dedicated to you and the others we’ve lost today. prayers and condolences go out to the Bryant family and the other families that were on board,” Green wrote in conclusion to his lengthy post.

Kobe won five titles for the Purple and Gold and is considered by many as the greatest player in the Lakers' rich history.

The current Purple and Gold ensemble, meanwhile, are strong contenders for the Larry O' Brien trophy this year. They hold the best record in the Western Conference at 36-10 and second-best in the league overall behind the Milwaukee Bucks. Green and the rest of the Lakers will indeed have some extra motivation to win it all this year in Bryant's honor.

The Lakers learned of Bryant's untimely passing while they were on board a plane from Philadelphia back to Los Angeles.

A clip showed Lakers' superstar and Kobe Bryant's close friend LeBron James being consoled right after he stepped off the plane. Apart from Danny Green, Kyle Kuzma and other members of the team have also taken to social media to pay their respects.
