Kyle Kuzma scored 35 points to lead Team USA to a 161-144 win over Team World in the Rising Stars Challenge on Friday, and teammate Josh Hart was quick to recognize the accomplishment of the sophomore forward.

Kuzma scored 14 points in the first quarter and finished with 23 points after the first half. He slowed down a bit in the third and fourth quarter, but overall, he was sensational.

Kuz was one of two Lakers players who were selected to participate in the Rising Stars game. The other one was Lonzo Ball, but he wasn't able to suit up for Team USA due to an ankle injury he suffered last month.

As for Hart, he had a promising start to the season by winning the Summer League MVP. However, inconsistency and injuries prevented him from getting any type of momentum going. He has missed the last couple of game for the Lakers with a knee tendinitis.

Aside from LeBron James, who is going to play in the All-Star game, no other Laker will be participating in any future events in the All-Star festivities. They will most likely use the time to rest and recover from any nagging injuries that they have.

The Lakers are expected to make a strong push to make the playoffs. They are currently 10th in the Western Conference, two games behind the eighth seeded Sacramento Kings.

With 25 games left, guys like Kuzma, Josh Hart, and Ball will need to be physically and mentally ready to help the Lakers punch a ticket into the postseason.
