The allegations regarding Los Angeles Lakers main man LeBron James and his supposed tampering with New Orleans All-Star Anthony Davis just won't go away. This time around, an unnamed NBA general manager has labeled James as a mob boss along with agent Rich Paul.

“I'm not worried about James tampering to the media about AD. It's that James and Paul are mafioso mob bosses of the NBA that's the problem,” a Western Conference general manager said, via Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report.

This anonymous executive is obviously unhappy with how much influence LeBron and Paul have on the league, and he has gone to the extent of labeling the duo with a rather unsavory characterization.

It is worth noting that Davis recently signed with Rich Paul's Klutch Sports, and to most, this is a clear-cut sign that Davis eventually wants out of New Orleans. The fact that Paul is not only LeBron's sports agent, but also happens to be a close personal friend, makes some believe that the Lakers have now become the front-runners to land Davis if and when he becomes available.

Despite publicly declaring his loyalty to the Pelicans, the fact of the matter is that in 2020, Davis will enter free agency. New Orleans obviously does not want to lose him for nothing, which is why they may actually seriously consider pulling the trigger on a potential deal if an agreement for an extension is not reached.

Whatever the case may be, Paul will definitely have a lot of influence on Davis' future, which may or may not be a good thing for the Pelicans.
