The Denver Nuggets utterly dominated LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in the recently-concluded Western Conference Finals. Lakers star big man Anthony Davis had his moments in the lopsided series but for the most part, it was Nikola Jokic who proved to be an unstoppable force in what turned out to be a very short four-game West Finals.

Nuggets guard Bruce Brown doesn't want AD and the Lakers to forget about it. In a recent interview, Brown heaped praise on Jokic as he talked up the former back-to-back MVP's scoring prowess. To emphasize his point, Brown just had to drag Davis into the conversation:

“He scores the ball so effortlessly on whoever’s guarding him,” Brown said. “I mean he had AD in shambles last round. AD didn’t know what to do. He is one of the best players in the world and he's showing it.”

Lakers fans aren't going to like this, but the fact that Davis and Co. were swept in the series is living proof that Bruce Brown's strong statement here does have some merit. AD did all he can to try and stop Jokic from dominating every single game of the series, and while he may have succeeded to a certain degree, it clearly did nothing to prevent the Nuggets from Jokic and the Nuggets from completely embarrassing LA in four games.

Bruce Brown, Nikola Jokic, and the rest of the Nuggets now have another test in front of them in the form of Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat. Denver remains to be the favorite to win it all, though, and they are now just four victories away from the ultimate prize.
