NBA Hall of Famer and current TNT analyst Charles Barkley has always been hard on LeBron James and the team he plays for, and that trend will apparently continue this season. Barkley says he has no idea what the Los Angeles Lakers are doing, implying that the roster Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka have surrounded James with doesn't make much sense.

Many have questioned James' move to Los Angeles after the superstar signed a four-year free agent deal with them in July. The roster appears nowhere near ready to compete for a championship in the rugged Western Conference, and the Lakers might even struggle to make the playoffs, considering James is playing with a lot of young players and guys who don’t really fit well next to him.

On Tuesday's TNT pregame show, Charles Barkley voiced his opinion about the 2018-19 Lakers.

“Let me ask you a question, though. Which Laker team? Because I don't know if the Lakers are gonna go with the young guys, or all those geezers they brought in,” Barkley said. “That to me is what's going to be interesting about the Lakers. Are they going with [Kyle] Kuzma, [Lonzo] Ball, those guys, a [Josh] Hart, or are they going with [Lance] Stephenson, and [Rajon] Rondo and those guys? I have no idea what the Lakers are doing.”

No one is expecting L.A. to compete for a championship this season, not even James himself. The dilemma Barkley seems to have is whether the Lakers are going to play the younger or older guys more.

Rondo has already been named the starter at point guard over Ball. Kuzma and Hart will be coming off the bench as well. Third-year swingman Brandon Ingram will be starting alongside James, Rondo, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and JaVale McGee.
