Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Danny Green missed the potential game-winning 3-pointer in Game 5 of the Finals against the Miami Heat, helping Miami win the game to force a Game 6.

After the game, Green says the Heat's wives and girlfriends were talking smack to the Lakers' wives and girlfriends at the busses despite Los Angeles still being up 3-2 in the series.

Danny Green and the Lakers wound up winning Game 6 in convincing fashion to close the Finals out. Green and his fiancé received death threats after he missed the 3-pointer in Game 5.

Sometimes, sports can bring out the worst in people.

Green is now a three-time NBA champion. He won the 2014 title with the San Antonio Spurs, the 2019 title with the Toronto Raptors and now the 2020 title with Los Angeles.

In the Finals against the Heat, Green averaged 7.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game while shooting 32.7 percent from the field, 28.9 percent from beyond the arc and a perfect 100.0 percent from the free-throw line. It was a struggle for Green from start to finish, but all that matters is that the Lakers took care of business and won the championship behind LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Moving forward, though, it's going to be interesting to see if Green remains on the Lakers. His name has already come up in trade rumors, as the Lakers are reportedly interested in upgrading the roster this offseason.

With the Cleveland Cavaliers, Spurs, Raptors and Lakers, Green has compiled averages of 8.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists.
