Darvin Ham and the Los Angeles Lakers suffered one of the worst losses in team history on Monday night against the Philadelphia 76ers. Aside from Joel Embiid, though, Sixers guard Tyrese Maxey was a big reason for handing LA that major embarrassment.

The Sixers pummeled the Lakers 138-94, with Embiid leading the way with an insane triple-double of 30 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. It was Maxey who top-scored for Philly, albeit just one point ahead of Embiid with 31 points to go along with three rebounds and eight dimes.

Maxey's 3-point shooting set the tone for the Sixers' offense, however. He made five of his 12 attempts from deep as the Lakers struggled to stop their long-distance barrage. In the end, it resulted to the Purple and Gold suffering their fourth-worst defeat in franchise history, which is also the worst of LeBron James' career by point differential.

After the game, Ham unsurprisingly had some high praises for Maxey after the Sixers rising star tormented his Lakers. The LA coach even compared him to a Lamborghini as they had a hard time stopping him after he got going.

“Trying to contain Maxey is like trying to contain a Lamborghini,” Ham shared, via Lakers Nation.

No one can blame Darvin Ham for feeling that way, that's for sure. After all, it's only fitting he compares Maxey to a Lamborghini after what he did to the Lakers. Of course they would probably wish things turned out differently, but it's hard to deny great talent when you see one.

The Lakers and the Sixers still have one more meeting left, which is scheduled in March. Sure enough, LA will dream of a better result when they face Philly once again. Hopefully as well, they already have a solution for their Maxey problem by then.
