Continuing his hectic offseason, Los Angeles Lakers center DeMarcus Cousins celebrated inarguably the busiest day of his summer in marrying girlfriend Morgan Lang. Cousins and his new spouse got hitched in Atlanta, Georgia, at the St. Regis, per Instagram.

It hasn't been easy for “Boogie” Cousins, as the former Golden State Warriors big man suffered another debilitating injury recently. The 29-year-old from Alabama signed with the Lakers in July; in August, though, the four-time All-Star tore his ACL while working out and practicing. Cousins' devastating injury comes roughly 19 months after an Achilles tendon rupture, which occurred during a January 2018 game with the New Orleans Pelicans.

Last summer Cousins signed with the Warriors and spent the majority of the regular season recovering from the Achilles injury—no easy rehabilitation and promise of maintaining talent for big men—and he would make his season debut for the Bay Area franchise in January earlier this year. Boogie had a fairly rough go of it during the playoffs, though, and looked visibly uncomfortable at times on the floor for the Warriors, as Stephen Curry and company fell to the Toronto Raptors in six games in the Finals.

As for the nuptials, Cousins and Lang had flowers arranged as tall as the 6-foot-11 center (per People):

“We translated a millennial’s interpretation of old Hollywood and what it would be like in current times using Morgan’s love for flowers and ensuring the arrangements were just as towering as Demarcus,” wedding planner Lynn Ehumadu of Lily V Events says. “Demarcus’ sense of style made this modern glam wedding our clients’ dream come true!”

Cousins and Lang were engaged since July of last year, finally tying the knot over the weekend in the Peach State.
