There was some question about how Isaiah Thomas and Lonzo Ball would get along after Thomas was traded over from the Cleveland Cavaliers, but so far it seems like the relationship is really forming well.

On Tuesday night the two worked together to help dominate the Atlanta Hawks, and with Ball going 3-3 from deep, Thomas talked after the game about how he believes that Ball just needs to keep his shot the same.

There has been a lot of buzz surrounding Ball and if his shot would actually work in the NBA. There was talk as far back as high school about him needing to change his shot, but so far he has kept his shot the same.

So far this season he is shooting 36.3 percent from the field, 31.9 percent from deep and 50 percent from the line. Ball really struggled to start the year shooting from deep and didn't seem to have any confidence. There was a lot of chatting surrounding the Lakers organization about how the shot was going to need some work this upcoming off-season and that might help.

But at times the struggles with the shot seem to come down to confidence. Earlier this season he would pass up on open shots because he had already missed so many of them.

But now with the shot going through the hoop at a higher clip, and with his confidence seeming to be back, maybe his shot is going to work out, and his “ugly as hell” shot can actually work in the NBA.
