For those believing there was nothing but “suburban beef” between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets, things got heated once again during the final moments of a 112-103 Lakers win, as forward Julius Randle pushed Nikola Jokic on his way up the court, producing a conflict between the two big men.

Jokic fell to the floor as Randle pushed him during the last possession of the game for Denver, causing the Serbian to confront him before they got separated by the officials.

Randle explained what led to his actions, thinking he was at risk of being injured due to Jokic's antics.

“I just didn't like [how] he was coming down flailing, flapping his arm and stuff,” Randle said, according to Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN. “And that's fine and that is his game, but when you hook my arm and try to pull my shoulder out of place, I don't like that.”

Tempers flared throughout the game, given the dislike for point guard Jamal Murray and his antics during the Nuggets' previous wins at the Pepsi Center, turning this into a rather sour rivalry.

“I don't talk to him much,” Randle said when asked about Murray, a fellow Kentucky product. “Honestly, I like the kid, to be honest. I just don't… we are not for the antics that he has had the past few games.”

The Lakers have now won eight of their last 10 games and have been a pleasant sight for the coaching staff, hitting stride late in the season and shaping into what they could be for this next campaign.
