The Los Angeles Lakers are in the midst of an extensive search for their next head coach. Darvin Ham, Kenny Atkinson, and Terry Stotts are reportedly the final three candidates for the job, but one NBA legend believes that's not a recipe for success.

Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett put the Lakers on blast via his IG story on Monday, basically saying none of these coaches are capable of taking LA back to championship heights.

Via ClutchPoints:

KG is clearly not a fan. In fairness, neither Ham, Stotts, or Atkinson have won a title as an HC. But, they all do bring experience to the table. This is simply Garnett's opinion and the Lakers won't care less what he has to say.

That being said, the organization must make the right decision here. The pressure that comes with this job is immense and it's not going to be an easy task after Los Angeles finished with a putrid 33-49 record in 2021-22, despite an unforgettable season from LeBron James.

It's hard to imagine the Lakers making a lot of roster changes in the summer, too. Russell Westbrook is practically impossible to trade since he gets paid a whopping $47 million, while there isn't exactly many high-profile names who are going to become free agents, anyway.

If Anthony Davis stays healthy and LeBron shows out again, they should certainly be back in the playoffs. Westbrook must find better chemistry with the star duo though. Hopefully, a brand new boss can make a big difference.
