While there are concerns about LeBron James' knee injury, Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel provided some encouraging update about his condition.

Before the Lakers took on the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday, Vogel confirmed that James' recovery from the lingering left knee issue is “moving in the right direction.” While Vogel did not share a clear timeline on when LeBron could return, fans will have to take solace from the fact that their superstar is getting better.

For what it's worth, there were some fears about LeBron James' injury amid various reports and speculations regarding his condition. For one, a story is recently going viral on how the Lakers superstar could be dealing with Bursitis or Baker's cyst.

As reported earlier, Bursitis can be treated rather quickly and would allow anyone to get back to regular work in a matter of a few days or a week or two. However, a Baker's cyst might require more time than that.

Aside from that, it has also been claimed that LeBron and his camp are “exploring all options when it comes to treatment, except they have ruled out the possibility of PRP” or plasma-rich platelet therapy. The said treatment is growing in popularity in recent years and has been said to expedite the recovery of injuries.

Clearly, however, the Lakers star is not a big fan of it.

For now, it seems Lakers fans will have to wait for some more time before they see LeBron in action again. Frank Vogel and the Purple and Gold franchise are expected to be cautious of the issue, especially since they want to avoid their superstar getting injured long-term.
