The Los Angeles Lakers have officially hired Milwaukee Bucks assistant Darvin Ham as their next head coach, and sure enough, the move got LeBron James' stamp of approval.

After it was revealed that the Lakers are taking Ham as Frank Vogel's replacement, James took to Twitter to welcome their new coach and share his excitement for the season ahead. He also congratulated the 48-year-old tactician for landing the job after an intensive search process by Rob Pelinka, Jeanie Buss and the rest of the Purple and Gold front office.

Darvin Ham is a first-time head coach, so there is definitely a ton of pressure on his shoulders as he takes over a Lakers team with championship aspirations. However, he definitely has the credentials to lead a franchise as big and as ambitious as LA.

He is part of the Bucks' 2021 championship team as assistant coach, and he was a member of that Detroit Pistons team that won the 2004 NBA title. He knows how to win on both levels, and his experience should prove crucial as he takes on the Lakers job.

It is also worth noting that Ham did beat Terry Stotts and Kenny Atkinson for the job. The Lakers also surely got LeBron James' nod before hiring him, which proves the team has full trust in his abilities and plan for LA.

With a head coach in place, the Lakers can now focus on building a championship roster and addressing everything that went wrong for them in 2021-22.
