It was back to the drawing board immediately for LeBron James and Anthony Davis after the Los Angeles Lakers fell to the Brooklyn Nets, 109-98 at Staples Center on Thursday.

With the game already decided with three minutes still left in the game, cameras caught LeBron and AD talking shop about a possible strategy against the powerhouse Nets in their next encounter.

Davis did not play against Nets due to an Achilles strain which will keep him out for at least four weeks. The Brow obviously took a lot of notes while watching the game from the sidelines and relayed it to The King. LBJ is widely known to be a student of the game so he'll surely watch tape of their sorry loss.

LeBron did his best on the floor to keep up with the Nets' supreme scorers Kyrie Irving and James Harden. He put up a valiant showing of 32 points on 14-of-23 shooting from the field, along with eight boards and seven dimes in 33 minutes of action.

The shorthanded Lakers, however, clearly had a hard time minus their two starters in Davis and Dennis Schroder, who missed the game due to the NBA's COVID-19 protocols.

The Nets versus Lakers match-up on Thursday may just very well be a sneak peek of the 2021 NBA Finals. Sure, their first encounter of the season did not carry the same hype to it since Davis and Kevin Durant were both in street clothes. But for sure, LeBron James and AD will be ready when they do meet again.
