The Los Angeles Lakers suffered another huge blow on Monday night as they took another loss against the Los Angeles Clippers, 113-105.

However, the final result was not the only low point of the evening, as Lakers rising star Kyle Kuzma was forced to exit the ballgame due to an ankle injury. Teammate LeBron James spoke about Kuzma's injury in his postgame interview and shared his thoughts on the unfortunate incident:

“It sucks not only for the ball club but for the individual himself,” James said, via ClutchPoints' Ryan Ward. “I know how much work Kuz puts into taking care of his body & just trying to be available to his teammates. Seeing him roll his ankle on a non-contact was definitely tough.”

As it turns out, however, the injury looked far worse than it actually is. Kuzma is reportedly just day-to-day, and while he is expected to miss Wednesday's contest against the Denver Nuggets, the injury does not appear to be anything overly serious.

Prior to his exit, Kuzma was having a forgettable evening, as he was able to log only 13 points on a miserable 5-of-15 from the floor. The 23-year-old did connect on a 3-pointer, grabbed six rebounds, and dished out a single assist, but he also turned the rock over three times.

This brutal defeat for the Lakers comes on the heels of another disappointing loss against the Phoenix Suns on Saturday. L.A.'s hopes for a playoff run is quickly evaporating right before its eyes.
