Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has long been supportive of his former teammate Iman Shumpert in his “Dancing With The Stars” journey. With that said, the King was naturally hyped after the former Cleveland Cavaliers guard won the 30th season of the show.

On Monday, Shumpert took home the Mirrorball alongside dance partner Daniella Karagach, becoming the first NBA player in the history of the show to actually win the whole thing. The likes of (former Lakers players) Lamar Odom, Rick Fox and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar all joined the DWTS before, but they all failed to go beyond.

After seeing his former teammate dominate another stage following their stint together with the Cavs, James took to his Instagram stories to congratulate Shumpert.

Iman Shumpert definitely deserves a ton of credit. After all, his victory isn't out of pure luck or popularity, especially since he has really impressed the audience with his weekly performances.

In fact, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade were so amazed by his performances that they tweeted about some of his clips throughout the contest.

It remains to be seen what's next for Shumpert after DWTS. He's only 31 years old and certainly still capable of playing in the NBA, and after the footwork he showed on the dancefloor, who knows, some teams needing a veteran guard might have renewed interest in him.
