You come at The King, you best not miss. That popular line from the hit TV series The Wire is arguably perfect for LeBron James. He continues his reign atop the NBA after averaging 25 points for the 17th straight year. The number of other players who have accomplished the feat: Zero.

Still, LeBron has always had his fair share of haters and he's probably heard it all: Washed-up, flopper, needs superstar teammates, egotistic, etc. Even his hairline has been ridiculed. But at 36 years old, LBJ has learned to dismiss most of them. On Monday, just a few hours after achieving his latest scoring feat, he posted a familiar message to his haters on his Instagram story, using an image from his upcoming Space Jam: A New Legacy.

LeBron has sent this “haters gonna hate” message several times before, and it appears he wants to remind everyone “Hey, I'm still here.” He has always locked in when the NBA Playoffs arrive and for sure, this year will be no different.

The Los Angeles Lakers, however, will need to go through a different route this time as they will face Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors in the play-in tournament for the seventh seed. If LeBron and company lose, they'll have to fight out in a do-or-die game to settle who will get the eighth and last postseason seat.

LeBron James' legacy has always been questioned by haters, and him missing the NBA Playoffs will surely give them more bullets to fire. But then again, best believe that The King has proven time and again that he never misses.
