There has been a lot of quick movement on the coaching front in the NBA so far this offseason. The Los Angeles Lakers will obviously be sticking with Frank Vogel, however, after they lost assistant coach Jason Kidd to the Dallas Mavericks.

Kidd is set to become the new head coach of the Mavs after Rick Carlisle left the team and became the Indiana Pacers' head coach. Yes, it's quite the domino effect.

Now, LeBron James is speaking on the matter of Kidd going from the Lakers bench as one of Vogel's assistants to the head coach in Dallas.

It was Carlisle who had mentioned upon leaving Dallas that he thought a perfect fit for Luka Doncic would be having Jason Kidd as his head coach. Now, that's become a reality for the Mavs.

The Lakers will fill Kidd's vacant assistant coaching spot on the bench in one way or another, but it's clear that he will be missed by James and others on the team.

It was a disappointing season for the Lakers, as they couldn't fight off late season injuries in the playoffs, ultimately falling to the Phoenix Suns in the first round.

LA will look to reload this offseason and continue to put pieces around James and Anthony Davis in hopes that the Lakers make another championship run. Now, they'll have to do so without the guidance of Kidd.

It's a bittersweet feeling for LeBron James. Sad to see Kidd leave the Lakers yet, happy he has another opportunity to be a head coach in the NBA.
