Kendrick Perkins was one of the first NBA personalities to react to Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James making history on Saturday night. The Kings just surpassed the great Karl Malone for the second spot in the all-time NBA scoring list, which according to Big Perk, should change the GOAT conversation altogether.

Perkins took to Twitter to congratulate his former teammate on his historic milestone. Perk has always been a big supporter of LeBron and he was quick to point out how this latest achievement for the Lakers talisman should affect James' GOAT status:

“GOAT James at that Number 2 spot!!! That conversation about to be a lot different. Don’t mind me and Carry the hell on…” Perkins wrote on his tweet.

Does Kendrick Perkins have a point here? Many consider Micahel Jordan to be the greatest player to have ever picked up a basketball, but it is clear that in his mind, Perk believes that Lakers star LeBron is now giving MJ a run for his money.

It is also worth noting that LeBron is now just 1,440 points behind Hall of Fame big man Kareem-Abdul Jabbar for the top spot on this prestigious list. The Lakers superstar should be able to surpass this number by next season, making him the top all-time scorer in the history of the NBA. I wonder what Big Perk will have to say if and when that finally happens.
