LeBron James has been playing in the NBA for so long that many players in the league today weren't even in school yet when he started his legendary career in the league. Somehow, despite his longevity and accolades, many still think that the four-time league Most Valuable Player doesn't have the hunger anymore. It's just one of the countless criticisms James has been getting from critics and trolls alike on social media. And on Monday night, The King decided to hit back at it.

“Do they ever know what they’re talking about?! 🤷🏾‍♂️” James stated on X (the social media platform formerly referred to as Twitter) as a response to X user @CuffsTheLegend's post that said “people saying LeBron doesn’t wanna win anymore have no idea what they’re talking about lol”

It is already the offseason for James and the Lakers, who have been sitting at home ever since the Denver Nuggets eliminated them in the first round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs.

But despite their early exit from the postseason, it's disrespectful to insinuate that LeBron James doesn't have the drive to win in the NBA. Especially when considering that against the then-defending NBA champions Nuggets, he averaged 27.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 8.8 assists in 40.8 minutes per game while playing with a 39-year-old body that is in its 21st year of battling in the NBA. In the 2023-24 NBA regular season, James also put up averages of 25.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 8.3 assists across 71 games, while shooting 54.0 percent of his attempts from the field and 41.0 percent from deep — a career-high on his sixth-best 3-point attempt rate in a single season since entering the NBA way back in 2003.

With that James said, it becomes even likelier that he will play for at least one more season. James has a player option for the 2024-25 NBA season to decide on.

“They always spewing nonsense King, don’t listen to them,” commented @BernieKnowsBall.

“So if you wanna win so bad Bron why don’t you help us get a coach who’s actually competent versus what we’ve been doing the last few years? Genuine question,” chimed in @SixthManJake.

“If you would want to win you would have went to the real LA team. We know exactly what we’re talking about,” Clippers fan @ClawWRLD said.

From @williamcoit: “They been hating on you since you left Cleveland the 1st time. You’re the GOAT with MJ. 1A &1B.”
