Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James notched another triple-double on Thursday, as he led his side to a 128-113 victory over the Brooklyn Nets. He ended the contest with a game-high 27 points (11-of-19 from the field, 2-of-2 from the line), 12 rebounds, and 10 assists, while also adding on three 3-pointers, a steal, and a block in 34 minutes of action.

As it so happens, this was the three-time NBA champ's third triple-double since he turned 35 on December 30th — an achievement bettered only than the great Jason Kidd.

LeBron James has been cooking for the Lakers in his second season with the squad. Right now, the 16-time All-Star is averaging 25.2 points (on 49.4 percent shooting), 7.7 rebounds, a career-high 10.8 assists, 1.3 steals, and 0.5 blocks, while also connecting on 2.1 3-pointers per game on a 34.6-percent clip. Now, how many 35-year-old's do you know are still able to produce at such an elite level?

Looking at the triple-double statistics, it's only Kidd who has been more impressive than the Lakers superstar in this particular category. The Hall of Fame point guard is one of the best guards this league has ever seen, and he has the numbers to prove it. At about the same age, Kidd was still rebounding exceptionally well (on top of his regular diet of near double-digit dimes) and one of the top ball-thieves at 2.0 steals per night.

Currently, Kidd serves as an assistant coach for the Lakers, so he definitely has daily encounters with LeBron. There's no doubt that Kidd has been passing on his wealth of knowledge to James, who even at this point in his career, is surely still very much open to whatever Kidd has to say.
