The Los Angeles Lakers routed the Charlotte Hornets by a score of 128-100 on Saturday night, and during the night, LeBron James and Lonzo Ball both ended up with triple-doubles.

That marked the first time two Lakers players had triple-doubles in the same game since Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar did so back in 1982.

Here is what LeBron had to say after the impressive feat and the win:

LeBron James finished with 24 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists while Ball posted 16 points, 10 boards, and 10 dimes, as well as five steals.

JaVale McGee also had a big game in spite of flu-like symptoms, totaling 19 points, six rebounds, and three blocks in just 18 minutes of action while making nine of his 10 field-goal attempts. Kyle Kuzma chipped in with 14, and Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, Lance Stephenson and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope all recorded double-digit scoring efforts off the bench.

With the win, the Lakers improved to 18-11 and jumped over the L.A. Clippers for fourth place in the Western Conference. They also sit just two games behind the Denver Nuggets for the No. 1 seed.

The game was actually close at halftime, with Los Angeles holding a 57-50 lead over the Hornets, but the Lakers exploded in the third quarter, outscoring Charlotte 40-17 to seize complete control of the contest.

This was also a nice bounce-back win for the Lakers, who were beaten by a scorching James Harden and the Houston Rockets in a 15-point defeat on Thursday.

The Lakers have won seven of their last 10 games overall. They will continue their road trip by taking on the Washington Wizards on Sunday.
