James is coming off the best weekend as a member of the Lakers. On Friday, the three-time champion defeated Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks. Then, on Sunday, James led his team to a victory over Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers.
LeBron was great in both games. The Akron native racked up 37 points against the Bucks and 28 against the Clippers. With the wins, the Lakers extended their winning streak to four and improved their Western Conference-leading record to 49-13.
James highlighted a major key from the wins:

Though he's playing in his 17th NBA campaign, James is showing no signs of regression. In his 59 appearances this season, The King has averages of 25.7 points on 49.7 percent shooting from the field (34.7 percent from beyond the arc), a career-high 10.6 assists and 7.8 rebounds. Notably, his 10.6 assists per game are leading the league. If he can maintain this pace, he'll have a shot at leading the NBA in this category for the first time in his career.
As of now, most experts are leaning toward Giannis Antetokounmpo as this season's MVP. However, with 20 games left to play, James is making a serious run at his fifth such title.
Tuesday night's matchup between the Lakers and Nets is scheduled to tip inside Staples Center at 10:30 p.m. ET.
