Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James reacts to Alex Caruso's return to the Staples Center for the first time since his move to the Chicago Bulls.
James aired out his appreciation to the former Laker guard on Twitter, quoting a tweet of the pair shaking hands during the Bulls' 121-103 victory last night. LeBron missed the marquee matchup due to his ab muscle strain that kept him out for the past few games. Meanwhile, Caruso went scoreless in 34 minutes but managed to garner useful defensive stats, putting up two steals, six rebounds, and five assists.
The tweet itself shows the strong bond shared by the two as they were part of LA's 2020 championship squad, with Caruso providing critical minutes off the bench and James bagging the Finals M.V.P. award.
In the 2017-2018 season, Caruso joined the Lakers but spent some time in the G league prior to his cemented minutes with the team. Dubbed as the ‘G.O.A.T.' and ‘Carushow' by many fans, LeBron seems to share the same type of optimism, tweeting a goat emoji to quote the team's tribute video for the guard. Known as a fan-favorite, Caruso served the Lakers as a spark-plug, hitting threes in key moments, making electrifying dunks, and defending talented guards of the opposing team.
Well, at least we know who the real G.O.A.T. is— according to LeBron himself.
After signing a new deal in the offseason, Caruso plays an integral role in the success of this redefined Bulls team. “Carushow” lives on as he provides an extra source of motivation and intensity, averaging 2.5 steals per game this season— almost the same type of aid he gave to the Lakers.

With the Bulls off to a 10-4 start, Chicago is undoubtedly enjoying Caruso's services, apart from the brilliance of Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and Lonzo Ball this season.
