Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James gave Dez Bryant a lot of respect and praise for getting back into the NFL and scoring his first touchdown in three years.

Taking to Twitter, James focused on how proud he was of Bryant's resiliency and for never giving up on getting back into the league, which he finally accomplished this season with the Baltimore Ravens.

Dez Bryant responded, thanking the Lakers champ for his kind words.

The touchdown is the culmination of three years for Bryant. After being released by the Dallas Cowboys in 2018, he would not sign with another team until November of the year as he  joined the New Orleans Saints. An Achilles injury, however, ended his season and tenure in NOLA prematurely–all without him playing a single snap.

In 2019, he vowed to rehab his injury and return to the NFL, noting that he's not retiring and still plans on playing football. His rehab led to him signing with the Ravens in October. He has flipped between the practice squad and the full roster a couple of times this 2020 and contracted COVID-19 two weeks ago prior to their Week 13 matchup against his former team, the Cowboys. In spite of all of the adversity, he has never stopped or given up, leading to the big moment for him–one that definitely impressed the Lakers forward.

Bryant hopes this is just the beginning. The Ravens are in a battle to get into the playoffs, currently third in the AFC North at 9-5. The Ravens Baltimore are also hoping that Bryant's presence can help the franchise get back into the playoffs and Lamar Jackson get to the next level as a quarterback.

As for LeBron James, Dez Bryant could be an inspiration for him as he and the Lakers enter a new season with the targets on their back after winning the 2020 NBA title.
