During his conference call with reporters on Monday, Los Angeles Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James talked about his mom, Gloria James.

During the NBA hiatus, James wasn't able to be with his mom due to COVID-19. The Lakers star admitted the quarantine period was the longest he had gone without seeing his mom:

By now, everyone knows the close bond LeBron and Gloria James have. Gloria raised LeBron as a single mother and had him when she was just 16 years old.

LeBron also doesn't have any brothers or sisters, so his relationship with his mom is almost like one of a best friend.

While LeBron can FaceTime his mom whenever he wants, it still doesn't replace the human contact every son and mother strives for. With that said, hopefully, LeBron and Gloria James can reunite soon, whether it's in the NBA bubble down the road or after the Lakers' season is over.

The Lakers are hoping that championship No. 17 is acquired at the conclusion of the season. With LeBron and Anthony Davis leading the way, the team has a good shot of winning the 2020 title.

Before the 2019-20 season was suspended in March, the Lakers had the best record in the Western Conference standings. Los Angeles will use its eight seeding games to prepare for the playoffs and knock off the rust that was created due to the long layoff.
