Lakers superstar LeBron James celebrates his 35th birthday on Monday. A lot of athletes start to slow down at this stage of their careers, but The King continues to be a productive force on the court. In fact, The Kid from Akron has racked up more points before the age of 35 than any player in NBA history.

James, who racked up 13 points and 13 assists in the Lakers' 108-95 victory over the Mavericks on Sunday, recorded 33,347 points before the age of 35. The closest player on this list is Los Angeles icon Kobe Bryant, who had 31,617 points before turning 35. The great Wilt Chamberlain had 29,122 points before his 35th birthday.

James and the Lakers are off to a great start to this season, as their Western Conference-best 26-7 record can attest. Los Angeles lost four straight games earlier this month, but the team has since recovered to claim a two-game winning streak.

Though his point production is down a bit from seasons past, James is still playing at an All-Star level for the Lakers, and he's dishing the rock at a career-high rate. In his 32 appearances, the former No. 1 overall pick has racked up averages of 25.1 points on 48.7 percent shooting from the field (34.5 percent from beyond the arc), 10.8 assists, 7.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 35.0 minutes per outing.

Barring any unforeseen setbacks, LeBron will have a real shot at passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the NBA's all-time leading scorer. Abdul-Jabbar had 38,387 points, while James currently has 33,347.

LeBron James and the Lakers will look to extend their winning streak to three on Wednesday when they'll serve as hosts to the Phoenix Suns. Tip-off inside the Staples Center is set for 10:30 p.m. ET.
